Former USA 15s All American Captain Aladdin Schirmer Signs with Seawolves
Seattle, October 31, 2017: The Seattle Seawolves and Head Coach Tony Healy are proud to announce the signing
of USA 7s and 15s Eagle Aladdin Schirmer. “The Seawolves and the MLR are a great opportunity for not only players like myself looking to improve their game but also rugby as a whole,” said Schirmer. “To be a part of
great players and coaches across the nation competing on the highest level of rugby available domestically while bringing it into the public eye is
a dream come true. To be able to say that I am a part of bringing that dream to fruition here in my hometown is everything to me. I am grateful for
the opportunity the Seawolves organization has extended to me and look forward to taking on this season with the boys. Up Seattle!”
The North Bend, WA native began playing rugby while at Central Washington University and quickly progressed through the ranks within USA Rugby. He was
the Central Washington University Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 2016. Schirmer also played locally for the Seattle Saracens.
In 2012, Schirmer was a member of the USA U20 Junior World Rugby Trophy winning team.
Schirmer earned a spot on the USA 7s All American team as a captain in 2015, followed by captaining the USA 15s All American team in 2016. He also played
with the USA 15s Selects team while climbing the ranks. The 6-foot 3-inch, 225 pound 8-man played in international matches with the USA 7s Eagle team
in Dubai and South Africa.
We are proud to welcome Aladdin Schirmer to the Seawolves family.
